movie agony

In autumn I saw a few previews for Pan´s Labyrinth and immediately went, "Ooh! Must see!" I´m a total sucker for the Peter Pan story and variations on it. (Also finally watched Mirrormask a few months ago. Thank God for Neil Gaiman.) As life enjoys teasing us, however, when the movie arrived in the U.S. it wasn´t in any cities near me. And now I´m in Spain, so I could maybe find it on DVD, but there would be no English subtitles and I wouldn´t know what is happening. Curses! Foiled again!

Date: 2007-01-20 08:08 pm (UTC)BitTorrent actually refers to the protocols which allow peer-to-peer file sharing. You have a BitTorrent seed, which is describes a file, and a number of computers with BitTorrent clients and parts of that file. When you connect, you'll start downloading the bits that you're missing from these other computers. As you acquire more of the file, they'll start downloading parts which you have and they lack.
I will emphasize that BitTorrent itself is not illegal any more than, say, a crow-bar. Just as a crow-bar can be used to commit a burglary, however, BitTorrent (or other utilities for downloading media) can be used illegally.
