Laura’s father wielding bear spray was a great introduction. It's nice that we finally get to see him after all those times Laura said her dad was going to kill her.

Okay, my self-control is just about gone. I had a lengthy entry in mind that boiled down to how you can track the level of the Dean's control over Perry in Season 2 through costuming. I'm also wondering, since in the Season 2 finale the Dean specifically mentions having to find "alternate accomodations" after getting shoved into the pit, does this mean Perry has been unknowingly possessed since the last episodes of Season 1? She doesn't show any signs of it during the Christmas Special, which raises the possibility that the Dean could only be in control while at the Silas campus. If our heroes had managed to stay away from Silas University, would the Dean have been forced to remain dormant?

Crap, I really need to finish posting my thoughts/meta on Season 2 and Season 0 that I started working on...last year?

I've been waiting and waiting to find out how Season 2 of Carmilla is going to end, only now I've watched the second-to-last episode and I have a feeling we're headed for a downer ending, and I don't want the end of the week to come.

Thanks God I got this done before Season 2 starts airing. Time for a look at the other characters! Cut tags for spoilers still apply.

Perry is Wakaba, if anyone. They just want everything to be normal, normal, normal. Sorry, but that’s not happening.

Danny could be Juri. They’re both tall, badass redheads. On a non-Utena note, Danny says in Episode 7 that the Summer Society has an annual Adonis Festival and Hunt. Now I want to write fic about that, or fic where the Summer Society engages in Bacchic celebrations during which they engage in Maenad-type behavior. It goes badly whenever any Zeta boys try to infiltrate.

Will is Touga—they’re both sleazy minions.

I’m not sure that LaFontaine and Kirsch have character equivalents. Kirsch isn’t always very bright but he’s too nice to be Saionji.

Watching Episode 20 of Carmilla while working on my meta entry, and I'm laughing at Laura's puppet theater. There's a scene cut between the beginning of Carmilla's backstory and the puppet show, so we don't know how long Carmilla was stuck sitting there while Laura set things up. Did she already have that stage set up? If so, why and where the hell was she storing it, the bathroom? Also, what about the puppets? Did she have all of these things or did she just leave Carmilla there while she looked up sock puppet instructions on Pinterest?

Now I want a deleted scene where Carmilla plays with the puppets when Laura's not around.

I just found out that the Carmilla webseries posted a Christmas episode! And if Wikipedia can be believed, there's going to be a Season 2. I would confirm this one one of the series's official sites, but it's too much hassle to follow one show across multiple, constantly-updating social media platforms. I tend to stick with the YouTube videos, and that's it.
