Observations and commentary containing spoilers are behind the cut
Episode 3
--glad that Pamuk died
--poor Mary, sex has been ruined forever
--Thomas needs to be more careful
--Mary doesn’t have much luck with men: drowned fiancée, uninterested in Matthew, drops Napier, Pamuk commits sexual assault/forceful seduction and dies
Episode 4
--Thomas, stop being an ass (I don't find him attractive; I think it's partly because of the hair oil but he also always has a sullen attitude)
--poor Mrs. Hughes, I wish she’d said yes
Episode 5
--I love it when O’Brien and Thomas freak out upon believing that the stolen snuffbox is hidden in one of their rooms
Episode 6
--Sybil has no more sense than a butterfly for not leaving a riot
--I'm glad that Gwen finally spelled things out for Sybil (class privilege, advantages of being rich/used to getting what you want, servants don’t expect their dreams to come true). Sybil means well but she needed a reality check.
--Violet says that most people go down the aisle with hidden stories and that men in Italy aren’t too picky about their wives. What stories do you have, Violet?
Episode 7
--I love the scene where William beats the shit out of Thomas.
--Poor Edith
--Lord Grantham is told that he can’t go in his library because one of the maids currently employed by him is using the room for an interview with another employer. Clearly the woman in his family are in charge.
I'm finishing up the free trial of Netflix and was disappointed to find that they don't have Season 2. I also tried to see if my public library has it but no luck.
