A pirate's life for me...

Here's the first sentence of a fic I'm working on. See if you can guess what the two movies are.

"According to S. Morgenstern's A Florin's Guide to the Caribbean (available for a modest sum at your local bookstore), a person could find anything or anyone in Tortuga."

Why shouldn't Westley end up in the Caribbean at some point? I figure it's the headquarters for all fictional pirates and some real ones. I had the idea for this story for a little bit but not much came of it. Then, this summer I got the Collecter's Edition DVD of The Princess Bride and was watching the various extras. Once I found out that the character of the Dread Pirate Roberts might have been based on a real pirate who was active in the Caribbean, I knew I'd end up writing it. I won't be asking for feedback until I have the whole thing posted; that will happen after Captain Jack stops playing with his eyeliner and Westley is finished fussing with his tiny ponytail. Until then, may you have better luck than I with your pirates.
