Okay, this is probably poor Yuletide form, but signing up today I noticed that Mythago Wood had been requested and no one had offered it. I read Mythago Wood and Lavondyss yeaaaars ago and that inspired me very much as a kid to get into writing. (It's been so long that I hardly remember, but I do remember writing a story about burying masks in the ground and naming places through them, and I know that was inspired by the books.) I'm not confident enough to offer the fandom, unfortunately, and I don't know where my copies of the books are anymore let alone time enough to reread them for Yuletide, but. Mostly I wanted to say I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WERE MORE THAN JUST THOSE TWO BOOKS! So now I am very excited at the concept of discovering more of that world and rereading those books when I get the chance. Maybe next Yuletide!
Basically, thanks for making me remember those books again! It's been so long since I thought about them and they really did influence me greatly as a young teen to get into writing, etc. :D Its funny, now I'm getting all sorts of half-remembered memories, of a girl turning into a tree and all sorts of wonderful stuff. I really do wish I had the time to find and reread them now~
