Robert Holdstock
Dec. 6th, 2009 10:55 amBrowsing on Wikipedia, I found a claim that fantasy writer Robert Holdstock, author of the Mythago Wood series among numerous other fantasy books, is dead. Wanting to believe that the website was wrong, I did an obituary search.
He is dead?! He's been dead for a whole week? Dammit!
Robert Holdstock's obituary can be found here. My first reaction truly was anger. He was only 61. Now sadness has entered into it. I hope his illness wasn't too painful (e. coli) and I am very glad that he was able to complete Avilion. My best wishes to his family and friends.
I know I've gone on about this author before but I want to do so again. Everybody who enjoys fantasy literature should look into his books. He has an extensive website. Copies can be hard to find--his books should be far more well-known--but it's more than worth looking into. He tells an excellent story and pulls at your heart.
