I swear to tell the truth
Dec. 3rd, 2007 04:29 pmI've made it a point to focus on fandom in my LJ, not making it a diary. I might have to change that a bit.
You'll need background for this story. Both my parents work in (school) food services. (My uncle--a friend of the family uncle--is a chef.) I've always been told not to work in food service, to find something sane. (I'm not sure planning to be an author is much better!) They work as assistant managers at different high schools; Mom works in an office; Dad is partly in an office, and does some cafeteria work as well.
Dad has the best work stories. He is the only man in the cafeteria, with 10-12 female co-workers from 30-70 years old. We call them "the ladies" and they are always teasing him.
( Today was Dad's birthday. )
I need to start writing stories about Dad's work stories.
