I don't miss high school at all, but I do miss some of the people. The last time I visited my old school, I found out that one of my old teachers finally got a novel published! Read now!
Alice's Misadventures Underground: The complete Annotated Oxford Text by Bradley E. Craddock
I'm not great at summing things up, so here's an excerpt from the back cover: "Inspired by an angel to become a famous writer, Swanson (1830-1865) decoted his entire life to that pursuit. An adjunct professor of English literature at Oxford University, he was a contemporary of children's author and mathematician, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (aka Lewis Carroll). Scholars now contend that Swanson is the original author of Carroll's masterpiece, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The tragic victim of Carroll's plagiarizing, Swanson committed literary suicide in 1865 and died in absolute obscurity."
It's a great satire/parody, and Mr. Craddock went so far as to make up a mock-scholarly introduction and has footnotes scattered throughout.
So come on! Read it already!
