It's that time again

--65 B.C.E.: Horace is born.

--1541: Thomas Culpeper and Francis Dereham are executed for having affairs with Catherine Howard, Queen of England and wife of Henry VIII.
This was Henry's fifth wife, and the second one executed for adultery. (The other executed wife was Anne Boleyn, who was also Catherine's cousin. I guess some things run in families.)
--1542: Mary, Queen of Scots is born.
Another member of royalty who lost her head.
--1886: Diego Rivera is born.
His full name was Diego Maria de la Concepion Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodriguez. (I apologize for not knowing how to add the accent marks.) I find his wife, Frida, to be more interesting than him, but I like his work as well.
--1941: Multiple WWII events.
--1967: Kotono Mitsuishi born.
A Japanese seiyu, who has had an enormous number of roles in anime.
--1976: The Eagles release the album Hotel California.
On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair...
--1980: John Lennon dies.
Rest in Peace.
