I just heard an amusing commercial on the radio. It was an advertisement for Trojan condoms, so they had a young man asking a Greek hero, Agamemnon, for advice. The part they don't say is that he was killed by his wife and her lover.

There is in certain circles an ongoing amusement that the largest condom brand in America is named after a city mostly noted for the ruse which allowed armed warriors to sneak inside a well-protected city....

I agree. Maybe there's a market for a series of advertisements based on the mistakes of characters from Greek mythology!

That would be immensely amusing. To those who are sufficiently familiar with Greek mythology. I imagine most people would simply be confused.


Oh! I can soooo see a SNickers commercial based on Sisyphus. I don't think I even need to detail where that's going.

Actually, Snickers could do that with most of the torments the gods decreed on various mortals.

And someone simply has to sell Odyseuss a GPS unit. Or maybe traveler's insurance.
