You Know Is Is Autumn When...
--you get cravings for apple cider (hot or cold).
--the air smells of woodsmoke, even if there is no fire nearby.
--you hear the geese flying south before seeing them.
--the colorful leaves stand out against the bright blue sky.
--grocery stores begin selling candy corn.
--the flowers are going to sleep.
--there are pumpkins everywhere you turn.
--there is so much orange and black that you see them even when you close your eyes.
--the crisp leaves crunch beneath your feet.
--children everywhere are planning their Halloween costumes.

--you feel sorry for those who live in an area without the changing of seasons.
--you have to rake every day.
--ghost stories are very popular.
--the night sky seems colder.
--acorns, horse chestnuts, and other nuts coat the ground.
