Katharine Hepburn is awesome

Today is/was Katharine Hepburn's birthday and there's an old interview playing on TV. She reveals that she was put on probation while at Bryn Mawr for smoking, and then the interview goes something like this:

Interviewer: So that was your first crime.
Katharine: No, it was actually my second crime.
Interviewer: ...
Katharine: My first crime was breaking into houses.
Interviewer: Oh, you too?

She then talks about almost killing herself by dropping through a skylight. As best as I can tell, she broke into houses on her own and with friends just for kicks when she was around 12 years old. I love you, Katharine Hepburn!

I watched the rest of the episode off and on, but that was the part that first caught my attention. She also said that she she was first making movies she spent all her money and from then on, her father took her paychecks and gave her an allowance. I don't know when they started that died, but it went on until he died in 1962!

Things are going all right around here--currently not the best it's ever been, but going all right. You?
